1. Precautions for safe operation
Wear protective equipment:
Operators should wear protective equipment such as heat-resistant gloves and goggles to prevent burns and splashes from injuring people.
Cut off power operation:
When installing samples or performing other operations, be sure to cut off the power first to ensure safety.
Avoid touching heating elements:
During the heating process, do not touch the electric furnace and its surrounding samples and heating elements to prevent electric shock or burns.
Prevent sudden high temperature cooling:
Caution should be exercised when opening the furnace door during high temperatures. After removing the burnt material, the furnace door should be immediately closed to avoid sudden cooling at high temperatures that may cause the furnace to break.
Prohibited flammable and explosive materials:
Flammable and explosive materials should not be placed inside the furnace to prevent fire or explosion accidents.
2. Equipment usage precautions
Reasonable placement of samples:
The sample should be placed in the middle of the box as much as possible to avoid excessive concentration or obstruction of the heating element, in order to ensure uniform heating.
Experimental items must not come into contact with heating elements and must be kept at a safe distance.
Control the heating rate:
When using, the temperature should be slowly raised to avoid sudden explosion or splashing of the item due to rapid heating.
Follow the operating procedures:
Be sure to carefully read and follow the operating procedures in the user manual to ensure correct and safe operation of the muffle furnace.
Regular inspection and maintenance:
Regularly check whether the wiring of the electric furnace and controller is good, whether there are errors in the instruments, and promptly calibrate and adjust them.
Regularly clean the interior of the muffle furnace, remove debris and dust from the furnace, and keep the furnace clean.
Check if the sealing strip of the furnace door is aging or damaged, and replace it promptly if necessary to ensure good sealing performance of the furnace door.
Pay attention to gas inlet:
If the experiment requires the introduction of gas, the completeness of the exhaust gas absorption device should be ensured to prevent the leakage of harmful gases.
3. Other precautions
Equipment placement environment:
The muffle furnace should be placed on a flat and sturdy ground, away from flammable and explosive materials and water sources.
The muffle furnace and controller should operate in a dry, dust-free, and non corrosive gas environment to ensure the normal operation and lifespan of the equipment.
Oven treatment:
It is recommended to dry the muffle furnace after initial use or long-term disuse. The oven temperature is controlled between 200 ℃ and 600 ℃ for four hours to ensure stable equipment performance.
Temperature control:
The maximum furnace temperature during use should not exceed the rated temperature to avoid burning out the electric heating elements.
The optimal working temperature is below 50 ℃ below the maximum temperature, which can extend the service life of the furnace wire.
Avoid prolonged high-temperature operation:
Avoid running the muffle furnace for a long time at rated temperature to prevent overheating and damage to the electric heating elements.
Handling and Moving:
When transporting the muffle furnace, be careful to avoid severe resonance to prevent damage to the equipment.
